It has a good reputation for having an abundant quantity and good quality of snow in Winter. We have five ski slopes; eight-passenger gondolas will take you up to the slopes from the parking lot. You can even enjoy skiing from early December by artificial snow.

From Kyoto/Osaka area: by train from JR Kosei Line Omi-Imazu Station; for the Downhill course take a bus bound for Hakodateyama area; for the Cross-Country course take a bus bound for the Kutsuki area from Adogawa station. By car, go by way of the Kosei bypass from Kyoto East IC.

From Nagoya/Tokyo area: by train leaving Kosei line Omi-Imazu station or Adogawa by way of JR Hokuriku line Omi-Shiotsu station after transferring at Shinkansen Maibara station. By car, Meishin Expressway Kinomoto IC is closest and most convenient.

From Hokuriku area: by train, getting off at Omi-Imazu station by JR Hokuriku Line "Thunderbird" limited express. By car, Hokuriku Expressway Tsuruga IC is most convenient.

      • ２０１５年度ＵＣＩ、（公財）日本自転車競技連盟及び大会特別規則による。
      Based on the 2015 Union Cycliste International, 2015 Japan Cycling Federation and Specific Regulations

  • 10.参加資格　/ Entry Qualifications
      • 登録競技は（公財）日本自転車競技連盟またはUCI加盟国で本年度競者登録を完了した者。 未登録競技は、実施する競技を行う体力と精神を備えている者。
      The only persons who can register must have completed contestant registration in 2015 with the Licence holder of the UCI affiliated National Federations.

      In non-registration competitions, the contestant must have sufficient physical and mental strength to compete.

  • 11.表彰/Commendation
      • 全カテゴリー各３位までの選手に対して表彰を行う。
      Up to third place can get an award in each category.
      Prize is according to UCI FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS

  • 12.参加費/Participation Fee
      • 参加費には消費税8%が含まれています。

      二種目エントリーの選手には当日1000円のフィードバックがあり。
      ●駐車料金　/Parking Charge Precaution
      両会場共に大会当日は1,000円/１日の駐車料が必要です。箱館山夜間駐車料は別途かかります。朽木会場は２日、３日、箱館山会場は４日、５日が有料です。

      Participation Fees (8% consumption tax included):
      1. DHI Elite: JPY8, 000.-
      2. XCO Elite/Masters/Youth: JPY8, 500.-
      3. DHI Masters/Youth/Challenge: JPY7, 000.-
      4. XCO Youth/Challenge: JPY7, 500.-
      5. DHI & XCO non-registration Open: JPY3, 100.-
      6. Elementary School Kids: JPY1, 500.-
      JPY 1,000. - will be refunded to any person who enters both the Downhill and the Cross-Country races on the tournament day. Downhill gondola charges are not included.
      On the competition day, both tournament venues require parking charge of JPY1,000 per day. Extra parking charge will be added during nighttime in Hakodateyama Ski Area.
      Parking charge will be required in the Kutsuki tournament place on May 2nd and 3rd , and in the Hakodateyama tournament place on May 4th and 5th for each of the two days.　


  • 13.参加申し込み誓約書　/Participation Application Written Oath
      • [誓約文]　私は、ＭＴＢがいかに危険であるかを知っています。レース参加にあたり、関連して起きた事故で死亡、負傷したり、損害を受けた場合や、事故が他人に及んだ場合も会場提供者、主催者や、競技関係者、第三者に対し損害賠償や責任を追及しないことを誓います。
      また、施設内での車、お客さま同士、自然災害、虫獣に関しての事故・怪我につきましても、一切の責任を要求いたしません。
      大会の記録に関して、その使用は全て主催者側の権限のもとに自由であることを承認いたします。
      大会期間中は、主催者のルールに従い施設周辺の環境を考慮して楽しむことを誓います。本大会の参加費は、いかなる場合も返還請求は致しません。
      誓約違反の場合は、主催者の指示によりレースの中止、降格、退場等の処置についても従います。
      [大会保険]　本大会には見舞金として、通院日額1000円、入院日額2000円、死亡・後遺症500万で契約しております。各自でスポーツ傷害保険に加入されることをお勧めします。大会公式期間中には看護士が常駐し応急手当の範囲を行います、治療はできません。必ず健康保険証をご持参ください。

      [個人情報保護法に関する件]　記載された申し込み用紙の原本は大会後速やかに粉砕処分をいたします。住所氏名などDM告知に必要な事項は当社に保管され、後日当社及び当社の関わるイベントの御案内として郵送させていただきます。この郵送などの資料の配送が不要な方は下記に不要とご記入ください。当確個人のすべてのデーターを廃棄することを約束いたします。 以上を確認し全文承知いたします。

      [Pledge] I duly acknowledge how dangerous MTB is by competing at my own risk, and hereby swear that I shall not pursue compensation for damages nor hold the organizers and competition officials or any other third parties responsible against death or injury of my person or of any another person from accidents related to my race participation.
      Moreover, I do not seek to be indemnified for any damages to my property or car in the facility grounds, conflict among visitors or competitors, natural disasters, and accident or injury stemming from attacks by insects or wild animals.
      In relation to tournament records, I acknowledge its free use under the authority of the organizer.
      During the tournament period I promise to compete with consideration of the environment in accordance with the rules of the organizer, and not make a claim for refund of the participation fee for this tournament under any circumstances.
      In any violation of this pledge I agree to follow all instructions of the organizers, including expulsion from the race, demotion, ejection, etc.

      Tournament Insurance: As provision against medical fees arising in this tournament, we have contracted for a doctor’ s visit at cost to the patient of JPY1, 000. - daily, hospital stay at JPY2, 000.- daily, and compensation for death or permanent disability up to 5 million yen.
      in addition, it is highly recommended that each person takes out their own sports accident insurance. During the official period of the tournament, nurses are ever present to perform a range of qualified first aid, but we cannot provide further treatment so please bring your own health insurance card by all means.
      Personal Information: For Direct Mail purposes after the tournament, necessary details such as name and address shall be kept on record by us presuming your permission to let us use it as guidance for informing you of future events, although we will actually dispose of the original written application form.
      However, if such Direct Mail is not required to be sent to you, please write “unnecessary” in the following space, in which case we shall completely discard all such personal data.
      *I have thoroughly checked and duly consent to the whole matters above.

      1) Exhibition Booth: At Kutuki venue, carry-in on May 1st and carry-out on May 3rd after the completion of the tournament; at Hakodate venue, carry-in on May 3rd and carry-out on May 5th after the completion of all events.
      Booth compartment space: 4m x 6m=JPY35,000.- (during the tournament period), not including consumption tax.
      If you would like to park your car next to the booth, please apply for space for 2 booths

      • 1)大会開催時期は日本ではゴールデンウィークと称し、国民の祭日が最も多いバケーションタイムとなります。よって宿泊などは早めに申し込むことをお勧めします。
      1) Please be reminded that at the time of this tournament, there are a lot of the so-called " Golden Week" holidays in Japan, thus it is recommended that you arrange accommodation well ahead of time

      2)クロスカントリー会場に最も近い場所にある朽木オートキャンプ場は、温泉やレストランも近くにありお勧めの場所です。

Shiga p refecture is located in the center of Japan, near the historic prefectures of Kyoto and Nara, where there are a number of historic sites of Japan's Age of Civil Wars (Sengoku era).

Lake Biwa (Biwako) is located in Shiga prefecture. It is a freshwater lake having the largest area of water volume in Japan. Lake Biwa is inscribed as registered wetlands under the Ramsar Convention.
